Question. Will your kids refuse to eat certain foods without ketchup? Mine do. The other day we went to my mother-in-law’s house for lunch and because she lives alone and doesn’t use ketchup she didn’t have any in her refrigerator. Well, when I told my eldest he would have to eat his chicken nuggets “naked” you would have thought I took all of his toys and sold them on e-bay. There was no way he was going to eat them without his favorite food group even when we threatened, “Well, if you don’t eat your chicken you won’t be able to have any of Grandma’s brownies or chocolate chip cookies.” Still wouldn’t budge. Talk about stubborn. I mean who in their right mind would pass up brownies or chocolate chip cookies? Not me. I would have choked that chicken down with a glass of milk and had a full out frenzy on those luscious chocolate treats. But…I must admit I was a big ketchup fan when I was a kid too so as they say…the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Hmmmmmm! I wonder how an apple would taste with ketchup?
